I hope I will have the same positive experience. So far the VS 2005 installer pointed to the fact that VS 2005 is not compatible with Win 7 and suggested to install VS 2005 SP 1 and Update for Vista and Windows 7. This is what I will do once the entire installation is finished.
Then I will install SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition (that came with VS 2005) and hopefully it will work fine too.
