I attended a MS Ouarterly briefing on SQL Server 7.0 last week and the MS Rep said they would be coming out with a "Personal Desktop Edition".

Yes, I agree with you - it doesn't make sense except for the ones who are collecting the money. Sure wish Linux would take off. Windows is too damn buggy.
