He's probably swapping because something even more powerful came along.

That's what I'm doing, yes.

It's a Gateway, T-Series
AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 processor, 2.0 GHz
It came with 3 GB of memory, but I upgraded it to 4 GB
It came with a standard 5400 rpm drive, but I upgraded it to a 7200 rpm drive (186 GB drive)
it's a 14.1" display, goes up to 1200x800 resolution Not as bright as, say, an HP laptop (which seem to be the brightest of all), but it's good.

It needs a new keyboard - the F5 key broke off a few months ago. Also, the space bar and left shift key have gotten stuck before (currently they are OK). I am very hard on keyboards. The keyboard is still fully functional, but really should be replaced.

I bought it for about $800 back in April 2008 and have put about $200 into it (memory and faster drive).

Asking price will depend on whether someone wants to take it "as is" and fix the keyboard themselves, or wants me to get a new keyboard.
I have some older Fox / .NET / SQL Server books that I'll throw in for free.

Has all the basics....webcam, wireless, network card, etc.

I'm looking to buy either for a 15.6" or 17.3" display (my eyes are really getting bad, need a bigger display) and a core 2 Duo processor.
