For completeness, a lot of places don't allow weapons like semi-automatic rifles or bazookas at all, but it's a stretch to assert that you need a bazooka to protect your family. ;-) If people really want bazookas they can join the Territorials/National Guard and get it out of their system. ;-)
Been there, done that. :o) I don't feel any need to own a Bazooka anymore :o) Although I must admit that the m72 (and earlier LAW) was a fun weapon to fire at targets. :o)
