A passing policeman told Iddris and his friends it was not his job to help the wounded man, so they called the Red Cross to take the man to a hospital for treatmentThere are many differing opinions on illegal immigration (not referring to legal immigration) here in the states too, but I cannot imagine any officer not voluntarily helping any person here (no matter how they got here) in need. The police routinely take wounded criminals to the hospital and illegal immigrants.
I hope that was so unusual as to have never happened before and never again.
