Interesting. Here in the USA a convicted felon is not allowed to own a gun EVER.
Obviously I think that law needs to stay in place - but needless to say it doesn't seem to deter the criminals from having and using a gun. They have to go though illegal channels to get the gun - but any 12 year old with 50 bucks can buy a gun off some bozo on the street here.
