You hit the nail on the head. MSFT comes to down with DirectAccss Seminars pushing tools and solutions that do not fit this small Atlantic market. (Nova Scotia)
The other day I checked "msdn.micro..." and was beseiged with yet anothr barrage of "Read This ....", "Find out how ... " "Your preview of X ...". There's just too much and I have to earn a living. A stable, reliable toolkit is more important than a bunch of "Gee Whiz" features -- VFP was a breakthrough product and I intend to keep using it.
"Frusrated and confused" -- you got it, and a key component of MSFT marketing strategy.
