I'm trying to start it from the Control Panel (type Windows Update in the Search box in my Vista computer) and 3 times already it simply hangs.

I'm going to re-start computer again and try one more time.

>I agree with you Craig. I always turn off automagic updates on a new computer or any computer that I will be using for an extended period of time. Until M$ can truly read my mind and know for certain when it is a good time for me I will do it manually.
