To everyone who has gotten this error message:

I found still another error that gave this message. I was copying a file to disk as an Excel file (XL5) and had a typo in the output folder. VFP gave me the Invalid Seek Offset.

No problems with indexes, hardware or other reasons that I've seen or others have posted. I fixed the path and it's been running fine all day.
