>>>Didn't Obama promise to hike taxes on businesses that out sourced jobs in order to have the jobs come back to the USA? What happened to that?

>In case you've forgottenm, it's the left (American political left) who have the power and they can't agree on anything. They are more devisive and splintered than ever. That party has had more opportunity to make changes than in recent history and failed to do so. They have broken many of their promises (like the work hours, the pay, the tax cuts for the middle class, the ethics, the posting of bills in advance of voting, the removal of tax breaks for corporations that move jobs overseas, etc. The powers do NOT want "unregulated capitalism" at all. They just cannot agree on what specific regulation and control they do want. There is too much internal bickering and that is the "progressive left." The right is even worse but they don't have any power to get anything done so it's moot. They will not take away individual freedom so close to an election year. It is suicide in the polls to do so. You yourself stated you have groups of 'voting cattle' in your country and yet you continue to make blanket statements about Americans. If you want to make idiotic statements like that then back them up with facts. Please support your statement:

I'm not sure the lack of progress is due so much to splintering among Democrats as steadfast opposition to everything by Republicans. Obama could issue a proclamation that the sun rises in the east and they would oppose it.

There's my "no political talk" mulligan, going back underground ;-)
