If you're not solidly proficient with SQL Server,I'd start there.
Take that DBase app and transport it to VFP with a SQL Server back end.
If you're proficent with SQL Server,
C# 2008 for Programmers by Deitel is an excellent book.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
