Josh, using aerror() has helped to identify the problem. My table has a field called DESC, which the SQL seems not to like. Changing the field to DESCRIP everything works, however I have many tables with DESC and changing them and all the associated reports, Clipper code .... Its a nightmare. Is there another solution ?
