I would suggest that you bite the bullet and change all the field names. You're likely to run into this problem over and over until you make the changes. You may be able to find a syntax variation that doesn't cause a problem. You could try using AS, as in SELECT Desc AS Descrip, ...
>Josh, using aerror() has helped to identify the problem. My table has a field called DESC, which the SQL seems not to like. Changing the field to DESCRIP everything works, however I have many tables with DESC and changing them and all the associated reports, Clipper code .... Its a nightmare. Is there another solution ?
