This seems similiar to the Windows 95 issue discussed earlier, but no solution revealed.

I am running a FPW 2.6a application that opens 60 tables. This app successfully runs under Windows for Workgroups, Windows NT, and Windows 95 (our Tech services group indicate they make changes to CONFIG.SYS and CONFIG.WIN files). However, Windows 98 reports that there are not enough file handles when half way through opening the tables.

I've tried the 'FILES=' in Config.sys with no success (up to 1500). So far, I have not found any references to File Handles in any Windows 98 help, book, or on-line reference. Any one have a handle :) on this one?
