Thanks Christof. Naomi actually sent me a link that had the command line info to print a pdf on XP. I used it and the first pdf printed ok. The second and subsequent files never printed. I set a break. It seems the program you sent me got hung up waiting for the process to terminate. I had to hit control, alt, delete to stop the process. It never came back from
WaitForSingleObject.

What do you think? I need to resolve this problem.

All this, I guess because the printer is slower that the machine. And my machine's not that fast. What's going to happen when I cut over to my new machine running Windows7 ?

I appreciate all your help.

On the file type tab search for XDF files and lookup the command line associated with the print command. On Vista and later I didn't find a way to access this through the user interface. Here you would need to open the registry and search the Class Root for the .XDF extension. Take note of the document type associated with the file extension. The search for the document type. It should have a Shell\Print entry with the command line.
