Hopefully. The thing with Doc though, is that I don't think he's a mentor. He's a doer, and he teaches by example. He works harder than everybody and he doesn't fool around in the clubhouse or the dugout when he's on. He probably isn't going to physically mentor Hamels, but if Hamels watches Doc just going about doing his job and sees the results of his work ethic, then maybe he'll get some ideas.

I doubt anybody in baseball has a better work ethic than Doc.

I agree, Doc leads by example, and I hope Hamels watches Doc closely this season.

Hamels was poor tonight - bad location, didn't have good stuff, but fortunately got the win because of the Philly offense.
