I'm using optimistic table buffering, and the time stamps would be contained in the same table. However, if the better and "correct" approach would be to simply move the time stamps to another table, with field references to the other table, then I could go that route.

>>I have a form with controls tied to a table in buffering mode. I want to add a date/time stamp for each field in the table, to show when a given field was last updated. Since the stamping fields are maintained in the background, I do not know how to update the fields in the table, since a REPLACE causes a buffering error. Do I need to create some variables which are then collected in the table, sort of like non-displayed form controls?
