Re partial birth abortion, don't even get me going on that. It is a rare procedure which was manufactured into a big deal by abortion foes. Mike, since you acknowledge you were "off" on Diane Wood, I suggest you get some facts on partial birth abortion and read accounts from people in the medical profession where it's used more often than you'd think in an "elective" situation. (Even Obama opposes partial birth abortion). While I'm still generally pro-choice (even after becoming a father), partial birth abortions are almost always a different story.
Re: same-sex marriage, I am goddamn sick and tired of those on both side of the fence spending time (and taxpayer money) on this issue. I disagree that same sex marriage is coming whether I like it or not.
This is one of those few topics where I am a traditionalist - I oppose same-sex marriage, but am fine with civil unions, domestic partnerships, etc. (And by the way, I find comments from people like Huckabee to be disgraceful - two consenting adults who meet the long list of requirements that married couples face on adoption, should be able to adopt).
