I still don't get the hoopla. As long as they are not profiling by stopping everyone without reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed, what's the big deal? It's long past overdue. The only thing missing is the Federal government's guest worker program and adequate border security and background checks on guest workers who come here to work legally. That's all up to the federal government though, not the individual states. I think Arizona waited too long to initiate this bill. There are plenty of laws that exist that could be abused by policemen but it is up to the system to stop that when it happens. We cannot have a lawless society because people are afraid that all police will abuse all laws. Obama is wrong wrong wrong on this one. It is not unreasonable to expect or require immigrants who do not have an id with a photo that shows they are here legally to have to carry their papers to do so. I would expect the same if I were in another country (and I've been in a lot of other countries).
