This is nothing new and not limited to Mexican-Americans. Irish-Americans observe St. Patrick's Day. French-Americans observe Bastille Day. Polish-Americans observe Casimir Pulaski Day. Etc. etc. etc. It doesn't make them any less American or unpatriotic. I have no problem with this at all, no matter what the native country was.

You are looking at this way too black and white. Or should I say brown and white?
