On that note, the big news around here this week was the death of Robin Roberts, and pretty much every article talked about what a nice guy he was. In fact, they mentioned that he didn't throw brushback pitches.
I think the most amazing stat in all the ones I've seen was that he once pitched 28 complete games in a row. My paper compared that to the whole Phillies team having 32 complete games since 2004.
