Maybe I did fall in a trap, then.
I am in no way qualified to discredit the thermo, basic or otherwise. I am not a scientist. When most scientists seem to be on one side of an issue, that gets my attention.
I have a strong suspicion you are a scientist in one way or another. For this reason I always read your posts, even when they seem to contradict what I thought was agreed upon. Mike, your key word here is "what I thought'. You need to check your premises. What you've said up here on the topic can hardly be described as any type of critical thinking.
I've said some of the same things that Neil has said (and we've also said different things) - and both challenge your vague claims of "virtually all scientists, most scientists, etc.". You call me a denalist, despite everything I provided (that you probably ignored/dismissed without so much as a peek), and yet you coo apologetically at someone else. Your illogical biases and prejudices are showing, and I think everyone can see it.
