Outstanding in Spanish. :o) Just not the same in English:

I sit me here to sing my song
To the beat of my old guitar
To the man whose life is a bitter cup,
With a song may yet his heart lift up,
As the lonely bird on a leafless tree
That sings 'neath the gloaming star.

(Walter Owen's poetic license translation)

but I think closer is:

Here I come to sing
To the beat of the vigüela (or the rhythm of the guitar)
That a man who reveals it (or the man who cannot sleep)
An extraordinary sorrow (because of an extraordinary grief)
Like a solitary bird (who like a lonely or solitary bird)
With the singing it comforts (finds solace in its song)

Not sure - it is really difficult (actually impossible) with poetry
