I'm going to jump in here and disagree. If you're using something like MVC, MVP, MVVM, etc, then the UI doesn't talk to the BL, but uses an intermediary.

>And just another person who agrees here. Plus James, I agree that the UI should never know about the DAL. The BL should be the only thing the UI talks to and is how the business logic controls what is and isn't changed or saved. You are right and I don't understand how an example of nTier could show you anything different.
