>The last link doesn't tell how to buy R2 version. I believe when I checked the link at the time of your posting it showed R2, but I just checked this link now and it only shows SQL Server Developer. So, where can someone buy R2 version (I know you downloaded one from MSDN)?

Don't buy SQL Server from Microsoft Store. They lie. When I called to place the order I asked 2 times very specifically if it will be R2 version. The guy said Yes, Yes. I got a regular SQL Server 2008 Developer DVD. When I called back and after talking to someone else, who "seem" to look for more detailed information told me that what I bought is all they have in DVD version. So Amazon has the same thing. I suppose you can only download R2 from the web. But I will never buy anything from MS store.

HTH.
