I think you're right. But this as other solutions I made are the result of "I don't want to complicate my life just now"

Your suggestion is to study. I only create an object named "entorno" which has the "SET" commands before I run the application. Perhaps I'll have to use it for this too.

Understand me, please... 10 years ago someone told me "XP will kill DOS" and today XP is my best friend... While I tried to understand objects and other beautiful things of Windows my clients (who don't care this questions) went on asking me for new features than coudl be well satisfied by DOS.

Now I see W 7 really killed DOS and when I reach some hability on VFP Microsoft will kill it too...

Oy, my god... I think I will cry a little before going on fighting...
