>>1) Price too high
>
>The price is in CDN so when converted to US, it is a little big less. But, recently, some have requested a two years plan. It is not listed. But, if you would like to benefit from the same, let me know and I will give you the quote by email.

>>2) No monthly subscription option (there used to be)

>Yes, there is. Simply click on Store from the top site menu from the main page and you will be able to start with a one month subscription. Note that when the option is checked, there is the ability to have an automatic renewal on a monthly basis.

>>3) No discount for the economic downturn (other sites and businesses have lowered their rates or provided incentives)

>I cannot go any lower. I lost pratically everything since this 2nd recession in the last ten years. The amount of loss is huge. I up fronted a lot of dollars by myself to keep the site running. I have been doing that for two years now. So, this is why I am trying to see what can be done so to get back previous customers and attract new ones.

>>4) No free month for a year subscription (an example of an incentive to subscribe for a year)

>There is something in regards to that. If you purchase a one-year subscription at 129.95$ CDN, it is much less than the purchase one month and activate the monthly renewal. Because, if you multiply 14.95$ by twelve, you would end up with much more than 129.95$.

I'm not saying it's not worth the price. I'm saying that many folks have taken a huge hit due to the economy as well and regardless of what value you get for your subscription, they may not be able to afford it right now. Like you, they are struggling and there is a lot of competition out there from free sites so I'm not sure there really is much more you could do except to provide some service that the free sites do not and it has to be one that folks think they cannot live without - even during the tough economic times. I couldn't count the number of folks who are without jobs and the businesses that have closed.

Anyway, your idea of asking for input is a great one. You may just get a recommendation that you can implement and will bring more subscriptions in....
