Francois,

You could try using a VFP server on the network server and writing the front end to connect to the VFP ActiveX server so all the data manipulation is happening on teh server side. This could be built to reduce the amount of traffic on the 64K lines.

Basically, use a 3-tier design with tiers 2 and 3 on the server.
