Because it creates a real mess for those of us who really do know what we're doing and have to fix it all up.

I guess I just see too many poorly written apps developed by wanna be programmers or people with little to no real training. This type of app is targeted directly at them and only serves to reinforce that notion that they're programmers when they're not. I'm talking about the small business owner who doesn't want to pay a real programmer to come in and do it right.

I got started in consulting 15 years ago tutoring a guy in VFP. He had a software company, but when you looked at his apps, they were real crap. He really didn't have any idea what he was doing, but he was plugging away trying to sell business apps. Then, one day he realized he didn't really know what he was doing and hired me to do fix all his apps. They all turned into rewrites.

Seems to me that this is just another ploy by MS to get people in the hook to buy VS.
