It can be much less of a problem if you act to control the borders. It can be much more of a problem if you deliberately act to NOT control the borders as the Messiah is doing (see DOJ vs Arizona).

And I consider current problems Obama's problem. It is his watch since he occupies the white house (remember how Bush was blamed for everything that came before him). Even though Obama is likely occupying the white house illegally, the US government seems to report to him.
