Wasn't my idea. Although, Doc had the right to refuse any trade, but he really seemed to want to go to Philadelphia if they could work it out. I think he really liked Toronto, but he wanted desperately to pitch in the post season and the Jays were looking at a 10 year rebuilding plan (although it seems to be happening faster than they expected). Their wants were incompatible.
It tells you what kind of a classy guy he is when you realize that not one Blue Jays fan I've ever heard of wants Doc to fail (unlike a few others who have left for greener pastures). Everybody here is rooting for him.
