>>Develop for Phone with Silverlight
Sure, but it talks about "targeting" individual OS. I'm assuming that's at least partly for optimization. I guess time will tell what proportion of the cross-platform (sic) development has to be spent on platform targeting. Having taken an interest in cross-platform Java in the very early days I'm trying not to be cynical about what to expect- though I've learned to respect H.G. Well's quotation "the essence of civilization is specialization" when I hear people talking about wide-ranging capabilities.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
