OK. We have Mad Men in common. I was onto that show very early, right behind the critics. They say there are only a couple more seasons to go. I'll be there.
One of the things I admire is that they nail the details. One scene that struck me was when the Draper family went for a picnic. When they were done Betty shook the garbage off their blanket onto the ground and they walked off without a thought.
>It has nothing to do with his insights. I can't take his voice. It may be petty, but I can watch other things. Boardwalk Empire and Mad Men come to mind.

>>That is something I really do not get. IMO he is insightful and amiable. I hated to see Madden go but nothing lasts forever. I think Collinsworth brings the same attributes to his commentary. Namely, an insider's knowledge of the game, a willingness to criticize without getting personal about it, and knowing when to be quiet and let the play by play guy carry the load. As opposed to, say, Tony Kornheiser, who seems to believe we watch the game to hear his pearls of wisdom.
