IMO true customer service is based on a desire to make the customer satisfied even if they did color outside the lines. Otherwise they might, you know, trash the company on a forum read by hundreds or thousands <g>.
Or just vote with their wallet (not that I ever had one). I've decided, three years ago, that I will never ever buy anything from HP again, and now it's a bit hard to buy a printer, because they hold a larger part of the market here. All those ink spitters that cost less than the ink itself... and now I'll have to wait for a Canon on order.
