I was so hooked that by the end, I was almost screaming at the TV screen (I knew that John Coffey would get executed, but was screaming for a different ending....that's how wrapped up I got)

I read that they were originally going to cast Chevy Chase as Forrest Gump. That movie would have been a flop.
