We could either move to Maryland, or quit. Some of us quit and started a new company, but the product we were going to develop was going to be new, next-gen stuff. We didn't want the old company accusing us re-writing their old Fire Records Management Software, so we were adamant about NOT using VFP like the old RMS was written in. .NET certainly qualified as "next-gen" ... and the rest is history. <g>
