>>"Don't ask, don't tell" has been struck down by U.S. courts. The military is dragging its feel in compliance.
>
>Hi Mike,
>
>Actually it was ONE federal judge that ruled against the policy. The military, in response to Obama's wishes was already conducting a study, the results of which are due soon. When the judge made her ruling, they, backed by the administration appealed, not the ruling, but the timing of the implementation. The judge refused to allow a delay in the implementation, an appeals court granted the stay.

>Meanwhile, as soon as the judge made her initial ruling, the military did NOT drag their feet, instead issued instructions to recruiters to adjust their policies accordingly.

>Glad to see you are back among the employed.

Me, too.
I will not prolong the argument. It has been reported that the military has been dragging its feet, but I have no way to verify it. In fairness they dragged their feet about blacks as well and wound up being one of the first integrated institutions in the U.S.
