Yeah well here's why we don't. I've already stated my reservations when there is any question as to guilt. That does not apply to the case I referenced - the killer is a total and complete monster and deserves punishment.
And for any of the whiny mamby-pampies out there who carry the "cruel and unusual punishment"...of course it's cruel. It's vicious. It's barbaric. And it OUGHT to be. But one thing it is NOT, is unusual.
Anyone who did to my kid what this monster did to the four year old, wouldn't even make it to trial. I'd gut him like a fish....and no jury would convict me.
