130 kph or 130 mph?

130kph- the sensible Europeans went metric ages ago, though the Brits still use miles rather than km. ;-)

>>I am so annoyed. I got nailed last week by a camera at a red light. The camera takes photos of every car and license plate going through certain lights. If you were after the red -- which I was, by two seconds turning right -- they send you a $100 ticket in the mail. You can contest it but if found guilty it goes up to $200. There doesn't seem like much point to that if they have your car and license plate, plus the red light, on camera.

It's treated as a tax, like sales tax: optional, but mandatory if you elect to participate. ;-)

Be glad you aren't in Europe: e.g. if caught speeding 10kmh over the limit in France the fine is 45 Euros if paid in less than 45 days rising to 180 Euros after that and 450 Euros if you dispute it.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
