Making his first start since the season opener, quarterback Jake Delhomme threw two interceptions, including one Panthers cornerback Captain Munnerlyn returned 37 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter. Still, some lucky breaks and a stellar performance by Browns running back Peyton Hillis, who finished with 26 carries for 131 yards and three touchdowns, plus six catches for 63 yards, helped Delhomme edge his former team.

"I’m extremely excited about it," said Delhomme, who completed 24-of-35 passes for 245 yards with two interceptions. "I don’t think I enjoyed wins as much as I could have at Carolina like I should have, so I’m going to enjoy it."
