Hi folks. I have a fair amount of FoxPro experience but now find myself needing more and more to work with SQL databases in the .NET environment. I long for the ease with which I can move data in and out of VFP tables and wish I could do the same with my *.mdf files. All the advice I have received involves using Server Manager to get this functionality, but that seems to require the databases to be registered in SQL Server and then there is a ton of other complications. Is there a way to avoid this? And where is the good old command prompt? etc. I would even be happy to create a VFP interface to manipulate these tables but I'm not quite sure how to go about that. Any suggestions on how to make this easy?
