I need to recompile it to make it work on a mobile device (Windows Mobile 6.5) where .net 3.5 is installed. Do I need to have a VS 2008 or VS2010 (which I don't have)? Or can I do it at a command prompt on the computer where .net 3.5 is installed?

>I'm not sure why you'd need to recompile at all. .NET 3.5 is just a bunch of extensions to .NET 2.0 so you should just be able to copy the app onto the device and run it. BTW - Windows Mobile 6.5 isn't supported by VS 2010, so those projects are stuck in VS 2008 and earlier.

I tried to copy the app to the device but when I run it I get error that points to need to install update to 3.5 (at least this is what it looks to me). The file name that mobile device is referencing is "netcfv35.messages.en.wm.cab". But the bottom line is that app does not work and I think the only way to make it work is by recompiling. Unless you have any other suggestions.

You mean to say that Microsoft dropped support for one of their flag-ship products? <g>.

Thank you.
