>I was using my PC earlier today on a wireless network (at home) without any problems. I came in the office and plug in my cat5 cable but the network icon says unplugged. I tested the network cable on another computer in the office (on which I am typing now) and it works. But when I plug it into my " other" pc it does not work. In the Control Panel -> Networking, the network card does not seem to have any problems. That is, it says, "working properly"

Still have not solved the problem with the network card but came across another issue. When computer is plugged into the docking station (which I always use in the office), the sound no longer goes to the speakers of the monitor. There is a cable from the sound output of the docking station to the input in the monitor but it does nothing. So, in addition to the network card not working, this is another issue.

Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 2 has tons of settings. I am trying to figure out which I need to change to enable/repair the network card.
