One of Emily's friends is a Filipino-American girl whose parents drive her like a sled dog a mile from the finish of the Iditarod. At some point she began driving herself like a sled dog a mile from the finish of the Iditarod. She will probably be the valedictorian. In fact she informs all and sundry that she already is. (Wouldn't it be cool if she got a boyfriend or something and bombed a couple of classes this semester? ;-) )

I don't think I'd use the word hilarious <g> ... it's good to instill that kind of drive in your kids, but kids still need to be kids, they still need to play. It *is* possible to mix the two.
