- USU has trouble scheduling good non-conference games. I would really like to see teams like Utah St, BYU, San Diego State, etc, play more good non-conference opponents. (I realize some of it isn't under their control)
Maybe they can follow the path that Gonzaga has taken. Once they became a power in the West Coast and started advancing to the Sweet 16, they started getting some great non-conference opponents. This year Gonzaga played K-State, Illinois, Notre Dame, Baylor, Marquette, and San Diego State.
