>I'm using a ActiveX controls (NEWT Internet POP & SMTP controls) that require the use of a pre-defined 'Variant' data type variable. VFP6 help (under 'variant data types') shows that VFP6 supports a Variant data type. The question is: How do you define it or create it?

When using ActiveX Controls or COM objects all VFP variables are assigned
and read as Variants. You don't have to do anything special - just treat
the properties like you would any other VFP specific property.
