Hi Victor.
>I have a couple of apps using FoxFire (one really huge one) and since it's already in place I wouldn't consider switching either unless the customer really wanted it....but like I said if it was a NEW app I'd want something a little more "industry standard".
Stonefield Query (
http://www.stonefieldquery.com) is used by 250,000 end-users world wide. Does that count as "industry standard" {g}?
The difference between Stonefield Query (and FoxFire) and Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services is the target audience. The former are intended for end-users to create their own reports while the latter are for developers or IT staff. I've see countless times the problems of putting developer tools in the hands of secretaries, sales managers, VPs, etc. We discuss that at
http://www.stonefieldquery.com/CrystalReportsAlternative.aspx.
