Definitely qualifies as being one of those areas ( like .NET ) where there is a *very* large community, some very cool toys, and a wealth of learning stuff. IOW it ain't VFP.

ROFL !

I spent some time with Eclipse and sqllite but got too busy with work that pays (although if you develop an app the teens think they must have you could make a lot on .99 each download. I found that I was just too slow -- all of my "ideas" were not out there when I first checked but by the time I started working on them there was at least one just like it available already :o) .... I plan on getting back to it. :o)

There are "teams" of developers out there working together to push out a lot of android apps and then sharing the profits (if there are any). That might be something to consider if it's never a "full time" endeavor...

The next one to beat me to the punch will probably be the android app for creating your own facebook banner -- one that will have a few simple backgrounds and you enter the text and it automatically generates 5 separate images of 485x68 and uploads them to facebook and tags them in reverse order for you. I'm sure that's been done too.... probably works like a tweet now too so the banner can change everytime you post a new status....
