It looks like readiness testing in the Army is getting interesting:

It will be interesting to see what % of soldiers fall off the beam and flunk that test :o) The title says more running which I guess is true if you look at multiple running tests instead of just the original 1. However, the 2 mile run has changed to a 1.5 mile run so that's shorter. IMHO, the tests make sense and are more applicable to real world situations.
