I don't think I could have managed the services.

I went to the ATC (Air Training Corps) a few times when I was a lad and couldn't help laughing whenever I was ordered to do anything.

(not denigrating the services here , it just isn't for everyone)

I had and still have problems with the obeying orders thing.

However, the 2 mile run has changed to a 1.5 mile run so that's shorter. IMHO, the tests make sense and are more applicable to real world situations.

I have found the transition to C# ( and back again - I still develop a big app in VB since that is how it started ) to be almost unnoticeable, after an initial orientation. With Coderush and other add-ins even the bracket and semicolon stuff happens pretty much automatically.

It is definitely a world that motivates one to use C sharp - especially for the Linq lamba syntax. Very hard to find good VB-Linq stuff whereas if you are comfortable with C# there is an amazing wealth of stuff.
